According to this course it is open at all the levels, it is designed for beginners who are new to Ashtanga yoga and those who wish to truly understand and experience the fundamentals of this ancient practice. Our training course includes the breakdown study and practice of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series, Pranayama, Meditation, Kriyas, Alignment and Adjustment Workshop. This training schedule is designed for 28 days of residential training in mesmerizing Rishikesh amidst the hills and terrains of this wonderland. It helps you to practice and go through the advanced techniques of Ashtanga yoga to make you eligible to become a teacher of teachers. After successful completion of this program, an individual can become a teacher to offer Yoga Training to other individuals. This program also allows you to become a Yoga Instructor and teacher for Yoga Teacher Training. In Sanskrit "Ashta + anga" is Ashtanga. "Ashta" means Eight and "Anga" is limbs so it means Eight Limb path, ashtanga yoga is based on Yoga Philosophy of Patanjali. The asanas, Pranayama’s or the dharana which we have studied earlier or the yam and niyam are based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Hence, we will acquaint ourselves with the fundamentals as stated by Patanjali first.

Yoga has its roots about 5000 years BC as described in Vedic Philosophy and Tantras. Patanjali, great sage composed this path into a Darshan (Philosophy) in his Book Patanjali Yoga Sutra. In which he has formulated Yoga as a Eight Limbs or Eight Fold path. The Ashtanga series is said to have its origin in an ancient version called the Yoga Korunta, accumulated by Vamana Rishi, which Krishnamacharya, is the father of modern yoga received from his Guru Rama Mohan Brahmachari at Mount Kailash in the early 20th century.

The origins of yoga itself are incomprehensible and likely as being somewhere 8,000 years ago and at that time, yoga was practiced in a less small no. of yogis group, who lived in caves and forests, far away from society.

The popular system of Ashtanga Yoga that is widely practiced today, traces its more recent origins back to Sri K.PattabhiJois. He became a student of Sri T.Krishnamacharya in 1927 at the age of 12. Over the next twenty-five years, he learned and mastered the practices passed on to him by his Guru and in turn, passed them onto his students. Daily or regular practice is highly emphasized in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, each student moves through the practice at his or her own pace and level. An individual with an established Ashtanga practice might take time between an hour or two hours, depending upon own personal speed, but a beginner will likely have a shorter practice.

Ashtanga Yoga techniques are designed to offer you a deeper sense of realization and practice. You will be practicing yoga under the direct guidance of Teacher, who is a certified and experienced. You can not only learn various yoga postures, ashtanga yoga movements and breathing synchronization, but can also practice them with deeper understanding of kriya and pranayama for an effective teaching and knowledge sharing. This 200 Hours Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training will help you to build a basic foundation for becoming a yoga teacher and also offer you a certificate of merit from the Yoga Alliance USA after successful completion.



200 hours Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Course is fully residential and offers you rooms with clean and comfortable accommodation. We provide 3 major meals along with tea and snacks. All the meals are purely satwik and vegetarian throughout the training program. We provide you training in advanced practice of asanas, kriya, meditations, teaching methodology and teaching as a yoga teacher. All these practices with a strict and disciplined environment will help you gather the best knowledge and skills to become a certified yoga teacher after successful completion.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF HIMALAYAN HOLISTIC YOGA SCHOOL
  • All students should fulfil the registration formality and submit required information and yoga course fee before they start yoga course.
  • All students are able to pay yoga course fee in Indian rupees, dollars, ponds and Euro, either by Paypal or bank transfer.
  • Once a student start course after ceremony,no fee refundable if student change their mind after later.
  • All students should follow all rules strictly as instructed.
  • Any question can be asked in the class related to yoga course.
  • All students should come to class at least five minutes before class schedule.
  • For yoga Teacher Training the students are requested not to join other educational programs during yoga course.
  • All students should follow all disciplines of Himalayan Holistic Yoga (HHY). For any misbehaviour with another teacher or student will be assumed as breaking the law of institution.
  • The effectiveness of yoga course program based on physical and intellectual capability of every individual.
  • here is no extra activity allowed in yoga class. All personal discussion and gossip can be taken in the spare time.
  • At Yoga Teacher Training in India, the religious discussion is a comparative way that not allowed in yoga institute. “we believe that god is one and he stays inside the human being”.
  • If anyone is going outside for any part or other things, he should inform to the school management and should be back till 10 pm (deadline). Once the door closed you will not be allowed to enter in the school.
  • It is highly restricted not to smoke/alcohol in the yoga school or even in the rooms. .
  • Before departure the students must all dues and return all library books. .

It is essential that students of YTTC at Himalayan Holistic Yoga (HHY) in Rishikesh, adhere to the terms and condition during their training at the premise during and after classes.

Rishikesh is holy town in the heart of India, and we expect their traditional Indian value of our culture are respected and request our student to give reverence to our culture and refrain from hurting the sentiments of the local and our cultural values.

95% attendance in classes is mandatory. Participants are encouraged to wear loose cloths. Both man and women are restricted to avoid wearing revealing attire while at the premise. Avoid wearing transparent clothes and clothes revealing cleavage \back\belly button. Preferable clothes cotton salwar kurta, loose cotton/lycra pants, t-shirt, jumpers, yoga leggings.



Refund/Transfer Policy –

All fees are non-refundable. If there is any change in scheduling, at our discretion student may transfer fees from one course to another if requested at least 20 days before the start of that course.
